Very dissatisfied This unit was purchased in December of 2022 it is now September 2023 we just installed the unit in our home and upon turning it on after about 20min of run time it stopped and the display was flashing a code CH38. This code indicates low refrigerant. This unit is brand new and does not function properly Called LG and they told me nothing can be done. To much time has elapsed. I am very upset and I may never buy another LG product again.

I bought this unit to replace a Haier about the same size that was getting old. It worked well for about 7 days them it randomly shut off and show an error code CH 38. I called customer support and they said I need to unplug for 3-5 mins. It work but I find this problematic that it just randomly shuts off and I have to keep unplugging it.Not happy with this product.

i have several of these dual inverter models. there run quite are energy efficient seem to last a good long time and LG backs them up. One did fail on me near the end of the warrantee period. I took it to an authorized shop when they couldnt fix it LG replaced it.

Not Wifi Compatible if you have a 5GHZ Network

The air conditioner itself works well. The only problem with this product is its connectivity to Wifi so you can actually control it on your cell phone. If you have a 5 GHZ home network this unit will not work via wifi. It ONLY works using a 2.4 GHZ home network and doesnt give you an alternative method to connect in a different way. Its really disappointing to buy a smart a/c and not be able to use its features. Really defeats the purpose

Bad thermostat - So bad auto cooling

2nd summer with this. 3 different thermometers in the house show 83 but the app shows the internal house temp at 77. Thats a huge difference so I have to set my desired temp way low like 74 so it wont turn off at the wrong time when the house is still hot. And I had LG come replace the thermostat the first week of owning it. Energy saving mode is pretty worthless..

So glad I selected this air conditioner. The Wi-Fi features are incredibly convenient and it is surprisingly quiet while operating. It efficiently cools my entire first floor which consists of two small bedrooms living room kitchen and dining area. Think twice about replacing your old LG AC unit

I have to say Ive had several LG air conditioners over the years but this one is a terrible disappointment. My old LG LW1514ER AC unit is 8-10 years maybe older but wasnt cooling as fast or as cold as it had been until last year so I thought Id get a new one. The old one is 15000 BTUs and I replaced it with this one which is 14000 BTUs and its not as good as the one I took out even as old and tired as it is I feel foolish... I have the old one sitting in the hallway of my apartment and I am tempted to reinstall it. Its supposed to cool up to 800sq and I only have 600sq room..

Pleasant surprises plus cooler rooms

I had 754 sq ft of connected open rooms with lots of windows in Florida summer to cool it worked out well on a number of fronts and I would recommend it to others. I honestly grabbed this unit because I wanted to tryout an idea where it would be set in a fireplace with a wooden facing over the opening. It was the only unit large enough to cool the rooms and still fit the fireplace plus it was the most aesthetic pleasing. Result was great. I then moved it to the window and installed it properly as the fireplace thing was just something to do with the kids. I found several things surprising other than the cooling capacity being perfect. It also was much more quiet than expected Full fan speed and right next to unit measured 55-59dB Drop the fan to medium speed and I could no longer notice it over the household noises unless trying hard. Also the unit was the first Ive seen to try to improve on the gap filling on the sides of the unit when installed. Most just give you the accordion side piece that havent changed in forever. This one though added self adhering insulating foam panels. nice innovation Also after installing I accidentally unplugged it and then plugged it back in and discovered it turned it self back on automatically useful for power interruptions. I was able to save some funds as well by buying direct from LG plus a July 4th Discount opposite of the local suppliers that raised prices for the Holiday.

This ac has an inverter so it saves big time on electric billit also has wifi so can be controlled by my phone I can add specific settings it has a sleep mode. I can do all the different settings that I want it has a handheld remote so if I dont have my phone and Im sitting on the couch I could just use the remote to turn it on and off or even change the temperature it blows out extremely cool air. It has a filter alert system so when its time to change the filter it alerts me on the phone and as well as a red blinking light on the air conditioner system itself. It has energy saver mode. It has dry mode fan mode just regular cool has a timer on it three different fan speeds. I mean this AC is the best I have ever had all the features are very easy very simple to Control and Ive had it for three months and it did not make a big difference in my light bill and I run this thing quite often. Thanks to lg for sure and totally recommend this to anyone you wont regret also its extremely quiet and thats a big plus for me. It came with all the things you need for a window unit. The only thing I did purchase separately was the brace that kind of goes on the outside of the window but this is a perfect AC for anybody who has a small to medium size home it cools my living room area dining room kitchen and down the hallway. I have a decent size home and it pretty much cools the majority of it.

Excellent Unit with Some Caveats

The first unit I received from Amazon was dropped and although working the frame was bent and I could get a good seal on the window. Come to the second unit and this one which also looks like it took a hit somewhere along the lines but not as bad as the other is working like a champ almost 2 months in. Love the programmability via the App. The only issue I have which I can not correct and led me to the two star deduction is that the unit leaks out the front after 4-5 days of semi-continuous use in typical humid conditions. Ive taken the unit out twice now cleaned it all out and cleared every drain area I could find and even re-angled it still happens. So my solution was to guy buy a manual fluid transfer pump and ever 4th day I check the unit and drain the pooling water from the front of the unit. I want to completely love this unit as it works really well but the front end leak is a pain and Im not comfortable with giving this thing and more of a tilt. But if you can get a unit that doesnt leak youll be extremely happy

Quiet and Cold

My home is 2200 square feet it was 100 degrees inside after putting the new LG air conditioner in my home dropped down to 72 degrees. We also used fans to circulate the air. Good air conditioner overall. The only reason why it didnt get five stars was because it take a while to start up and also to cool a room the room isnt very big either. I really like that you are able to download an app and use your phone to turn on and off the air conditioner. I especially like that you dont have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi in order to turn on the air conditioner but the air conditioner does need to be connect to Wi-Fi in order for the you to be able turn it on with your phone. You can be far and turn on your air conditioner with the app The app also lets you know how long until the filter has to be change or clean. It was a little on the expensive side but out of all the air conditioners that I have owned this falls in the top three

Bought this unit read the instructions from the back nowhere in the instructions does it say you cannot hook up to a GFCI. Well unfortunately with these dual inverter units you cant it trips out the GFCI every single time and unfortunately that is the only spot that I can put the AC so now I either have to return it or disconnected GFCI.

So far so good... Its the beginning of July and its 90 degrees and humid outside. The rooms are a confortable 70 degrees. The air conditioning unit was installed on Memorial Day weekend. The contractor brought his entire family for the installation... LOL I made everyone hot dogs fries and chocolate fudge ice cream... The ac unit was delivered installed and now everyone is happy... Thank you LG A+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Great Ac

I bought this window unit 14000 btu in May when my central finally just gave out on me. This Ac has been a life sober for me this summer in Texas It worked better than I anticipated and I confess I didnt do a lot of research before buying I was in a hurry to find something for my main living area with kitchenbut I lucked out with choosing this unit. It manages to keep everything cool and comfortable and we have been having triple digit heat index almost every day. Easy to usefilter is easy to clean and I like that you can use an app to manage the unit if youre not at home. I would definitely recommend this ac to anyone

Excellent Quiet Air Conditioner

I bought this to replace my Midea Inverter after it crashed after 2 years. I was a bit reluctant at first since I could not find a quiet AC but this is so quiet I can talk with family and friends watch TV and enjoy the peace. I have been using for 2 months thus far and loving it.
