I absolutely hate the system. It has leaked and caused over $2000 in damages twice now it has way too many tubes looks so messy under the sink. And the customer service for this RO system is clueless and it™™s hard to find parts.

It took me a good while to figure from where the leak was comming. As it would leak when I was not watching. It has ruined the bottom of my sink cabinet and has stained my basement ceiling.

DONOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
GE sold a subpar domestic RO system for 600$ through the builder. It started to fail in first 9 months and by 12 months it failed and not filtering any more. I posted a previous review on that.
The product is absolutely third class. I am saying that as an RO professional. The company is pretty Dysfunctional.
After my earlier review, They reached out a month ago. Because they want to continue selling this low quality item while keeping a low profile.

The number you provided me is not helpful because I already talked with them on June 20th for long 34 minutes. Smart Water Team did not help me. When I described the issue ( put on the review).
They basically told me: THAT IS EXPECTED OF GE DOMESTIC RO SYSTEM,.IT MAY FAIL AFTER ONE YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.
If you are sincere with solving any issues regarding this RO system and address my concern, then refund my wasted money for your system..
I have started letting people know about how bad your RO is. Basically telling them what GE SMART WATER TOLD ME on June 20th.

Not a great reverse osmosis system

This is the second system I™™ve had to replace the first one. I got #Warranty with a new manifold that holds the cartridges.
The design of the system is very poor
It leaks and you can try to receive cartridges and do everything and it still leaks
And it seems to do that when you replace the cartridges!
I would not recommend this for anyone

Filter does exactly what I wanted it to do. Capacity isn't large so our family primarily uses it for filling water bottles and glasses. I can't recall when I've seen a plastic water bottle in our recycling bin.

Constant low pressure from faucet

Constant issue with low pressure coming out of the faucet. Replaced all 3 filters, checked the tank pressure (7psi when empty), purged the system, nothing seems to help. Water is barely coming out of the faucet. Also, nowhere in any of the documentation does it say what the tank pressure should be. I just went by online videos, and articles about other systems. Everyone suggestion 6-8 psi when empty. Now looking into replacing the whole system. Not worth the constant hassle dealing with the low pressure.

Had this filter for right at about 2 yrs.. Past its warranty and finding someone with a clue to help troubleshoot is an issue in and of itself. First filter change went smooth, no issues, every change ever since has been a nightmare! Filter 1 locks in briefly and once a little water goes through it, bam! That sucker shoots off and the water-works begin. Tried multiple times to get filter 1 to stay in place but no luck, plus I am scared to try to use any sort of tool to tighten as I would not want to break something else and then have more water all over the place. At this point I'd really like my money back but I know GE will do nothing of the sort, so all I can do is post this and hope that it reaches anyone thinking of this product to seriously reconsider. Cheers and GE, feel free to reach out if you'd like to refund me the $225 I paid for the system plus the additional $133 for all 3 filter stages I just purchased this weekend.

Worked for 6 months. Changing filters was a horrible experience. I had to close water because water was squirting out the moment I removed the first filter. I had to use channel lock pliers to put the new filter in.
I also wonder why the water faucet opens/closes in the wrong direction, and why this unit does not appear in any RO filter ratings.

Product started leaking this weekend and it is 15 months old. Filters have been changed as recommended.
Called GE support this morning and the first gentleman directed me to a local dealer who wanted to charge me more for the service call than I paid for the entire unit. Next call to GE support at least got someone who tried to help but again there is zero tech support.
Sad that a 15 month old unit from a company as large as GE has issues that nobody can support.

My wife is going through Infusion treatments and this is the only thing that alleviated the metallic taste and sores in her mouth. I know you said focus on the product but I'm still miffed the system did not come with all the parts(could have been the retailer), your customer service failed to identify the part was missing g and then you charged me for the part.

I bought this product in May. I had issues with water overflowing from the back of the filter faucet. I couldn't even turn on garbage disposal. I paid $215 for Filter, $150 for installation and $100 twice for plumber to come see this issue. Issue is still not resolved. Both plumbers said this is the worst system they have ever seen.

The install was fairly simple and there were no leaks after purging the system 24 hours and following instructions. A day after this period, there was a pool of water under my sink that damaged the wood. Water is constantly dripping from the supply tank adapter around the yellow tubing and nothing helped. Will be trying to reach out for a replacement part, but for now it is very frustrating. The water tasted good for the one day I had it though™¦

I trust the GE name for an excellent quality product, and once again was not disappointed with this water filtration system. The stainless-steel faucet looks great in my kitchen and matches very well with the fixtures I already have. We've installed this and tested it out for about a month now, and the four of us that live in this household agree that the water tastes very good. We have well water which can often have a metallic taste and that well water smell. This is extremely convenient to use. The amount of space it takes up under the cabinet doesn't have much of an impact on the storage that I need for under the sink necessities which is something I had worried about before it was installed. I've been making ice cubes with this water and have noticed that soda and mixed drinks taste better. Would highly recommend.

At first glance the thought of installing this yourself can feel daunting. Take a breathe, read the instructions all the way through at least once. Don't be in a hurry. More prep on the front end makes for a very easy install. The only part that really made me somewhat uncomfortable is cutting the hole for the faucet. Again, take your time. If that does feel too much, have a pro come cut the hole. The rest is fairly straight forward. The only bummer, but an essential one, is the length of time to sterilize the system, but even that just requires time. System looks great, fits well under sink. Compact, takes up minimal room. Produces great RO water at a really reasonable price point. Definitely recommend.

This was super easy to install. You also have the cup/bottle fill faucet included but that requires the additional hole, which we didn't have. Drilling an extra hole was not something I anticipated so we just left that out. This system does reduce water pressure as it is sending the water through filters so don't expect the same pressure as before. All in all if you have hard water like we do this will benefit you. It can also help save your faucet and coffee pot from build up. I would recommend. At this price it's not going to break the bank.

Wow! I recently received this water system, and I absolutely love it! I love how it cleanse the water, and it was super easy to setup and use! It included filters. I have to change the filter every 3-6 months, but other then that it was super easy to install. I have been loving it since I installed it.

The system and filters provide a REVERSE OSMOSIS filtration that provides the best tasting water I have had. I am on a treated community well and always disliked the water as it was hard water with a strong chlorine taste and smell. The filters removed all the taste and smells from the drinking water. I have ditched the wasteful water bottles for the GE system. The filters last 6 months with normal use and removes 95% impurities. The item description was just as described and I would buy it again.

This filtration system has exceeded my expectations. It is very easy to install. I actually set it up myself, and didn't need any assistance from my husband. The directions are very clear and detailed. It is a small filtration system, and it fits under the kitchen sink. I love the size of it. The package contains everything one needs to set up completely. It is very easy to use. Simply use the switch on the little filtration faucet. It delivers clean, safe, water immediately. It removes lead, and nearly all other impurities. Now, I am secure knowing that me and my family are drinking safe water, with nothing impure lurking there unseen. I also use this filtered water for cooking. I feel so happy knowing that I am doing what I can to keep my family healthy. GE has really hit it out of the park with this idea. I am overwhelmed by the amazing taste of the water after it's been filtered. It has such a pure taste and certainly seems healthier than non filtered water. The system is very easy to install and doesn't take too much time at all to install.
