We have bought several units, and they never last a season. I just went through a claim on a unit that was purchased and ran for 5 months, and the warranty process was horrible. They didn't give us a decision for 12 days to find out the warranty was out by 9 days.

This unit quickly cools and keeps a consistent temperature in our large second floor bedroom. The window opening is narrow, but the exhaust vents works as expected in the opening. Exactly what we were looking for.

My air conditioner went out in the middle of a heat wave and it was going to be several days at least before we could get parts in to repair it. I needed something quickly to at least cool down the bedroom, which was 97°. This unit had good reviews and was reasonably priced, so I got one. Prospective buyers should be aware that this unit is only intended to operate in an ambient temperature up to 90°. Which means the 97° that I was using it in probably stressed it a bit, and definitely reduced its efficiency. If you're in an environment where temperatures regularly exceed 90°, this might not be the unit for you. It was able to get things down to about 82°, which while certainly better than 97° was a bit too warm for some in the family. I was disappointed to find that the HEPA filter required for the unit's air purification function is sold separately, and cost almost 20 bucks! That is certainly an accessory that ought to be included with the unit. The Unit is not silent, but it is about on a par with other portable units I have used over the years. When the compressor is running you can definitely hear it in a small room.In no way is this unit powerful enough to cool multiple rooms unless they are extremely small. It did a reasonable job in my small bedroom, but my hopes to use it to cool the entire level proved fruitless, even with floor fans blowing the cold air into the rest of the level. It's basically good for one room and one room only.Bottom line, this is a fairly good unit. I really pushed it, and while it didn't entirely meet my expectations, that is probably to be expected under the circumstances. If I were to buy it again, I would probably opt for a unit rated for a bit of a higher ambient temperature. But it kept me from dying of heat stroke, so In the end it did what it's supposed to.

Only one because it did work , I bought this ac from bjs in 2023 I turned it on for the first time this year and it doesn™™t get cold, the compressor kicks in but no wish sound that the coolant is going through the pipes.I called, they said sorry only one year on ac units. So I™™m out all that money and I have no ac in my place, it™™s 85 in my place right now.

I bought this on June 6, 2025. Set up was very simple and worked very well. On June 30th, the unit was beeping loudly. I tried to access it from the Frigidaire app but it showed no connection. Long story short, after contacting customer support, the unit was no longer supported by the app and was dropped. This unit does not come with a remote as it solely relied on the app. Luckily, Home Depot has a great return policy.

I'm the type of person who runs fans in the winter, so keeping cool is important to me. Living in an area that doesn't get "drastically" hot is nice, but when the temperatures rise, I need to stay cool. I had a window unit in my bedroom that works, but doesn't keep the living room area very cool, and I always had fans running. And, it was noisy! I decided I had to have an AC unit in my living room this year. I looked at a lot of units, and this Frigidaire Portable Room Air Conditioner looked right to fit the bill. I am so happy with how quiet the unit is, how well it cools my living room space, and it has a nice sleek design to it. I really like the swing feature which moves the air in an up to down area. We've already had a couple of days in the upper 80's/low 90's and I was so cool! Thank you Frigidaire.

I purchased this unit in May of 2024 to cool my bedroom. I reinstalled the unit in April 2025 and the unit will only blow warm air, so I opened a warranty ticket with Frigidaire/Electrolux. and the warranty replacement was approved on May 7th. I followed up on May 27th to be told the approval was changed to a denial because it was now over a year old. Then they said oh this was approved prior to the warranty expiring, so they reinstated, but sorry to say these are on backorder. It is now mid-June 2025 and still no replacement. Managers/supervisors are never available and I am promised a call back. I am asked to wait a week to get an update every time I follow up. The process is awful and so not customer focused. Today I was promised a call back within 1 hour. Let's see what happens. By the time I get the replacement it will be Fall at this point!

Some rooms just run hotter than the rest. I have two of these, one in my bed room, for the white noise at night and to keep my room chilled so I don't wake up in a puddle of sweat. While my second unit is in my networking room which keeps my systems from overheating; especially during the summer as its the one room in my house that takes a beating from the sun all day long and usually runs about 10 degree hotter than the rest of the house. Does an amazing job as a dehumidifier also, which makes it doubly perfect for keeping electronics in their preferred state.It's surprisingly cheaper to run two of these rather than to turn on my central AC. It's light enough to pick up via squatting, maybe 40-50 lbs, but also has convenient grips right at the top that make it easy to pick up also, if you have to, the device comes with multidirectional wheels already attached and makes for easy pushing. The price point is perfect. Literally got my second one for 300 bucks. It will pay for itself in time but it already has in the convenience and comfort. Love these things.Had my first one for over 2 years now, still works as well as it did on day 1. All I do is clean the filter when the filter light comes on to keep it in top shape. Not sure there is a better unit on the market. It's so powerful that it can probably cool a room for twice its size rating, so long as its an enclosed room.

Had purchased this ac and after 1 week a pungent smell started coming. I complained to the co., the technician came and serviced it even though it didn't require servicing. the smell was still there. I complained the 2nd time. same thing, they just came & serviced it. What I know is that this inner unit has a defect with its material which the co. should have replaced but didn't. So in short this is Bad decision purchasing from this co.

It blows nice and cool. I had a time when it would stop blowing suddenly then turn on then blow softly then repeat and my s/o realized we probably had to drain it but there have been a few times when it still messes up but it seems like that happens when the central air escapes through the vents when my landlord decides to turn it on (usually only stays on for an hour at tops)

Main A/C is set to 76 degrees. Want to cool down bedroom to 65 degrees. Turn portable A/C on to 65 degrees at least two hours before bedtime. Even after eight hours, portable A/C can only cool to 68 degrees.

I love my new portable AC unit, it works great, cools down my apartment with in mins of me turning it on. It is definitely much quieter than the standard window unit. I love the fact that I no longer have to remove my window screen every season. Perfect buy!

I bought two of the 10,000 btu portable a/c units and they so far have been working great. A little bit more quieter than other brand units I have owned. The exhaust hose connection to the window plate could be a little better. Disconnects too easily when unit is moved around is the only reason I give it a 4 rating.

This is one awesome air conditioner and dehumidifier. We have two of them. They keep our house as cool as can be. It can also be used for a fan on nights we do not need the air conditioner. It is very economic then central air. I just cleaned the air filters which were very easy to access. The air filter light illuminates when it needs cleaning. It also is very quiet. My wife and I found ourselves 2 good air conditioners for the money.

Received A/C on April 16th. It is now August 8th and my backordered window slide kit (which was missing from the box) has no updated arrival time. I have called the customer service line 10 times, been told two missed "availability dates" for the MISSING part and the EXCLUSIVE escalation remedy is an "internal message" to the parts team...which has generated ZERO responses. Frigidaire gives NO OTHER options then talking to their offshore representatives. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FRIGIDAIRE AS THEY DO NOT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not happy at all. I bought this portable AC unit at the end of June 2023 and I put it up at the beginning of July 2023. It was ONLY used for July and August of 2023 and part of June 2024. ONLY THREE MONTHS of use and it just randomly shut off one night. No I did not buy an extended warranty because I am currently a single mother and also currently on disability. When I first contacted Frigidaire about the AC, they couldn't do anything because it was 10 days out of warranty. So I contacted a local repairman, and he told me everything inside looks great but that the control panel stopped working. He couldn't find anywhere to get a control panel so I contacted Frigidaire once again, and they won't send a replacement control panel. I feel like it's very unfair that I'm going to be paying on this air conditioner that I bought on my Best Buy credit card for YEARS When it's not even working. What I'm mad about, is the fact that the control panel had to have been a bad one from the beginning. So I bought a faulty air conditioner and now will be paying for years on it. Like I said, my only income is an SSI check so it's not like I can just buy another air conditioner. So don't buy from this company... They won't help you out when you bought a faulty air conditioner. They basically just say too bad there's nothing they can do.. won't even send me a replacement control panel even though the one on the air conditioner was already faulty. I definitely will never buy another product from this company and I will tell all my friends and family the same thing. So screwed up

Basically the AC Unit works fine. It cools the room well. But I will say that when the unit is cooling the room, it's noisier than expected. In just fan mode it is much quieter. I have an older home with double hung windows. I found that I needed to insert the panel in the window frame upside down in comparison to what is shown in the installation steps, with the outlet hole on the left. It was the only way the window would close down on it properly and allow the screws to secure to the frame.
